Turn It Off and On Again

July 11, 2022 Caleb Dowell

Did you know, smartphones need to be rebooted every now and then? When a hearing aid to phone connection is interrupted, the first step to correct it is to reboot the phone, or in other words turn it off and turn it on again. We suggest giving it a go as soon as you experience connectivity issues. Often times, thats all thats needed to get things connected again. We recommend a reboot at lease once per week.

Much like powering down a computer, different smartphones are shut down in different ways. A quick flick of the fingers to sleep/wake the screen isn’t the same as rebooting. If you are unsure how to reboot your phone, check the manual or search online.

We’ve heard of hearing aids being lost this way. Take extra care when taking off your masks. We’re curbside or porch-side for you if it happens. Even if you’re not currently a patient of ours.
